ᏣᎳᎩ syllabary and sounds

In 1801 ᏍᏏᏉᏯ had finished years of hard work creating the ᏣᎳᎩ syllabary.

*This was a great moment of human achievement and history! This is perhaps the only time in known history that just 1 person not only created a writing system for their own language but to have done so as someone who didn’t know how to write in any language! (did sequoyah know english?)

ᏍᏏᏉᏯ’s original syllabary looks a little different that the ᏗᏣᎳᎩ used today! The original syllabary has more of a “cursive” look to it. the original syllabary was adapted by _ for the printing press. the printing press had been invented (in _ year?) but in the early 1800’s USA in places like Georgia, the printing press was designed to print in the english language. This is why when _ modified sequoyah’s original unique and distinctive looking syllabary that it was modified in a way that resembles many of the letters used in the english language.

the original order for the syllabary is also different than the ordering made by _ that was created to aid english speakers to learn how to write in cherokee.
